Dr. Héctor Izquierdo
Héctor studied medicine in Columbia (Universidad del Valle) and Germany (Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg). He finished his residency in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Universitätsklimikum Würzburg (Germany) and specialised in Human reproduction at the University of Salamanca (Spain).
Thanks to his large experience with international patients, he specialised in complex cases like recurrent implantation failure or miscarriages, and immunology issues. Héctor is now Medical Director of Vida Fertility Alicante.
He is fluent in German, English and Spanish. As a former fertility patient himself, he establishes a very human and close relation with his patients.
Dr. KATHARINA SPIES
Born in Munich, Germany, Katharina studied medicine in Freiburg and Madrid. Once a gynaecologist, she specialised in reproductive medicine, to which she has fully been dedicated herself since 2017. She’s been head of the medical team at Vida Fertility Madrid since 2022.
Kathi is fluent in German, French, English and Spanish and specialises in remote treatment follow-up and the complex cases of international patients who often arrive after a long fertility journey. She fully understands their difficulties and always strives to adapt their treatment to their diagnosis and needs.
Dr. MARTA ZERMIANI
Marta graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Padua, Italy, before specialising in gynaecology and later in reproductive medicine in Barcelona.
Since 2015, Marta has worked as a gynaecologist expert in assisted reproduction in renowned international centres of Barcelona and Madrid before joining the Vida Fertility Madrid team at the beginning of 2023. She is fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and English.
Her patients speak highly of her professionalism and her listening skills.
