Thanks to artificial intelligence, VIOLET™ analyses images of each individual egg to estimate its reproductive potential. This non-invasive system, trained with tens of thousands of images, can predict the probability of fertilisation and development to blastocyst stage.

How does VIOLET™ work at Vida Fertility?
At our fertility clinics in Madrid and Alicante, the process is simple, fast and completely safe:
- Egg retrieval is performed as part of the egg freezing cycle.
- In the laboratory, before freezing, each oocyte is photographed in high quality.
- AI analyses the images and generates a report on all the eggs.
- The patient receives a VIOLET™ report on all her eggs. This report helps us to predict the number of blastocysts with these oocytes and the probability of pregnancy.
This report is validated by scientific studies, approved by the EC (European mark) and backed by an accredited laboratory such as Vida Fertility.

VIOLET™, on the other hand, uses artificial intelligence to analyse images of each oocyte before freezing it and predict its ability to develop into a viable blastocyst. Yes. VIOLET™ is a completely safe, non-invasive and scientifically validated tool. It is applied in the laboratory after the oocytes have been extracted and before they are vitrified. It does not alter or damage the oocyte at any time. It is also CE certified, which endorses its clinical use in Europe.

No. Currently, VIOLET™ is designed exclusively to analyse fresh oocytes before freezing. There are other assessment tools for embryos, but the focus of VIOLET™ is to provide information on oocyte quality, which is particularly useful in fertility preservation.
