How are sperm donors for a fertility treatment selected in Spain
The requirements to be a sperm donor in Spain are regulated by law. At Vida Fertility Madrid and Alicante, we conduct exhaustive studies to ensure the safety and health of both the donor and the future parents and their children.
To be a sperm donor in Spain, it is mandatory to be between 18 and 35 years old and to be in excellent physical and mental health. These criteria guarantee the quality and viability of the sperm, as well as the absence of hereditary or infectious diseases that could be transmitted to the foetus.
Requirements to be a sperm donor
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
- Health: Excellent physical and mental condition.
- Medical assessment: Blood tests and genetic exams to rule out hereditary or infectious diseases.
