FAQ about Fertility Treatments in Spain
The cost of the first medical consultation at Vida Fertility – valued €90* – is deductible from the price of your treatment. This appointment can be online or on site. It’s a privileged time (45-60min) alone with your fertility specialist, in your language.
This is an important appointment to assess your personal situation, analyse any preliminary medical tests you can provide, and learn about your family history, reproductive history and any previous diagnoses.
During this initial consultation, the specialist will determine what additional tests may be necessary and establish the initial diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines.
The first consultation is an important first contact to establish a trusting doctor-patient relationship without any obligation on your part.

The duration of your stay in Spain will depend on the type of treatment you need and the type of your embryo transfer, fresh (ET) or frozen (FET).
We always try to adapt to your availability so that you travel as little as possible without compromising the success of the treatment.
Approximate durations:
- Ovarian stimulation without ET (for IVF or fertility preservation): 4-5 days on site
- Ovarian stimulation with ET (for IVF): 11-12 days on site. Please note that some patients choose to complete their entire cycle on site: allow 16-18 days on site.
- IVF with egg donation (IVF ED) and ET: 6 to 7 days on site.
- Frozen embryo transfer (FET): 2 to 3 days in Spain: even though you can do everything in one day, we always recommend that you arrive the day before your FET.

The price of fertility treatment in Spain depends on the type of treatment and the tests required. That is why at Vida Fertility we recommend that you send us all the tests results you already have. This will allow us to assess your case individually and suggest the most effective treatment, avoiding unnecessary costs.

Once you have decided to place your trust in us, we will accompany you every step of the way: from the initial tests to medical coordination and travel arrangements, as well as comprehensive monitoring throughout the first trimester of pregnancy.

You will always have a dedicated coordinator who speaks your language and is always available to you.
She/he will call you, write to you and support you throughout the process. In addition, you will have an emergency number in case you need to contact us outside of normal business hours.
Your treatment will be remote, but you will never feel far from our team.
Success rates depend on many factors: your age, the type of treatment, your ovarian reserve, etc.
At Vida Fertility, we will always give you realistic figures that are personalised and based on your specific case. Please do not hesitate to ask us for them.
Once the protocol has been defined, Vida Fertility medical team will send you a personalised prescription, tailored to your treatment and signed by our specialists, all registered with the Spanish Order for Physicians. Depending on where you live, you will be able to obtain the medication from a pharmacy with this prescription. If it is not accepted by your pharmacies nearby, it will need to be reissued by your gynaecologist or general practitioner. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you encounter any difficulties; we will certainly be able to help you.
We will also show you how to administer your treatment correctly, with detailed instructions and personalised follow-up.
The entire process is coordinated remotely so that you can begin your ovarian stimulation at home.
At Vida Fertility, we do not work with waiting lists. We organise your treatment according to the time that suits you best, adapting to your schedule, your flights and, if necessary, monitoring your menstrual cycle.
The first online medical consultation usually can be scheduled within a few days, and if you decide to proceed, we will help you plan your stay in Spain at the most convenient time to achieve the best results.
Yes, at Vida Fertility we offer pregnancy guarantee programmes, particularly for treatments involving egg donation. However, these programmes are subject to individual medical assessment, as they depend on factors such as your age, ovarian reserve, number of previous attempts and medical history.
During the initial consultation, we will inform you if you are eligible for one of these programmes and under what conditions.
