We introduce you to Dr. Laura Rodríguez, an internationally renowned fertility expert. She graduated in medicine and is a specialist in both gynaecology and reproductive medicine. Her professional journey combines clinical experience at leading fertility centres, research, and international cooperation. She has a special interest in uterine pathologies, hysteroscopy, and 3D ultrasound.
She also actively contributes to fertility research and has presented her work at both national and international congresses. Dr. Rodríguez is passionate about accompanying every patient on their path to motherhood or parenthood. She speaks Spanish, French, and English, enabling her to provide personalised, compassionate care to both local and international patients.

Why did you choose to specialise in Assisted Reproduction?
I’ve always been drawn to reproductive medicine because it’s a constantly evolving field where scientific progress translates into real opportunities for patients. Infertility is one of today’s biggest challenges, and being able to help people and couples realise their dream of building a family is a great source of motivation for me.
During my gynaecology and obstetrics training, I discovered that assisted reproduction combines two elements I consider fundamental to my calling: technical precision through increasingly advanced procedures, and human connection, which involves listening, supporting and guiding patients through an emotional process. I chose this specialty because it allows me to blend science and empathy, offering both my medical expertise and personal commitment.
What continues to surprise you most about your work?
Even after years of experience, I’m still amazed by the strength and resilience of patients. Each story is different, with moments of hope and difficulty, but I always witness a powerful ability to overcome obstacles. Trust and empathy are vital. Listening and personalising each treatment is key to achieving the best results.
I’m also fascinated by how, thanks to advances in assisted reproduction, we’re able to offer new solutions and improve outcomes every year. The combination of scientific progress and human connection is what makes this job constantly inspiring.
