Once the eggs are ready, an ovarian puncture is performed under sedation. This procedure involves collecting eggs directly from the ovaries with the help of an ultrasound-guided needle.

‘Ovarian puncture is performed in the operating theatre and is a very simple procedure that takes no more than 30 minutes. After the procedure, the patient can lead a normal life’. says Dr Spies.
