Why do patients living outside Madrid choose Vida Fertility?

Living far from Madrid doesn’t mean you have to give up on the fertility clinic you truly trust. At Vida Fertility, we welcome patients from different autonomous communities who choose to travel to undergo treatment with a specialist team, even if that means leaving their home town.
Choosing an assisted reproduction clinic is a very personal decision. Proximity is important, but so too are the team’s experience, confidence in the diagnosis, continuity of care and the possibility of receiving treatment tailored to each individual’s circumstances.
That is why we have developed a way of working that allows us to organise a large part of the fertility treatment remotely and limit trips to Madrid to only those occasions when they are truly necessary.
Why choose Vida Fertility even if you live outside Madrid?
A truly personalised treatment
Many patients come to Vida Fertility after having undergone other treatments or received advice that failed to fully address their concerns.
Our starting point is to study each patient’s history in detail: age and fertility, ovarian reserve, medical history, semen quality, previous treatments, recurrent miscarriages… This information enables us to propose a personalised treatment plan, which is particularly important in complex cases or following several failed IVF attempts.
It is not a question of repeating a treatment, but of understanding what has happened and assessing what the next step might be.
The same specialist throughout the process
We know how important it is not to have to explain your history all over again at every appointment. At Vida Fertility, we aim to maintain continuity of care so that the specialist who initially assesses your case also monitors your clinical progress.
This follow-up facilitates communication, allows us to better understand each patient’s response and provides reassurance during a process that can raise many questions.
Experience with international patients
Privacy and peace of mind
Some people prefer to undergo their treatment away from their usual surroundings to ensure greater privacy. A city like Madrid allows you to attend consultations, undergo fertility tests or complete the procedure discreetly, without having to discuss the process with others before you feel ready.
Furthermore, all consultations and treatments are carried out in accordance with the relevant medical confidentiality and data protection obligations.
How is remote fertility treatment organised?
Initial online consultation
The initial contact can take place via an online consultation. During this consultation, the specialist reviews your medical history, previous treatments and any available test results.
Following this assessment, we will advise you if any further tests are required and explain which treatment might be appropriate. The final recommendation will always depend on the medical results and the specific circumstances of the patient or couple.
Tests and check-ups close to home
Where the treatment allows, some blood tests, scans and check-ups can be carried out in your home town. The Vida Fertility team reviews the results and monitors your progress to decide how to proceed.
This means you do not need to travel to Madrid for every appointment. Face-to-face visits are limited to procedures that must be carried out at the clinic, such as ovarian puncture or embryo transfer.
How often do you need to travel to Madrid?
The number of trips depends on the treatment and how each case progresses. Artificial insemination does not require the same number of visits as IVF, egg donation or the transfer of vitrified embryos.
Following the initial assessment, we provide a provisional treatment plan including:
- Tests that can be carried out near your home.
- Approximate dates for check-ups.
- The procedures that require a visit to Madrid.
- The recommended length of stay in the city.
Dates may be adjusted within the medical parameters of the treatment. However, the body’s response cannot always be predicted with complete accuracy, so the plan must allow for a degree of flexibility.
Egg donation in Madrid
When choosing a clinic for egg donation treatments, you should consider the experience of the medical team and the laboratory, the donor selection process and the quality of coordination.
Egg donation is anonymous throughout Spain. At Vida Fertility, we manage the process in accordance with current regulations and assess the compatibility between donor and recipient based on the applicable medical and phenotypic criteria.
Availability and timings must be assessed on a case-by-case basis, which is why our team explains these before treatment begins.
Fertility clinic in Madrid accessible to all
Vida Fertility Madrid is located at 15 Calle Palermo, in the Arturo Soria area. The clinic is well connected and accessible by both public transport and private vehicle.
Its location outside the busiest part of the city centre makes it easier for those travelling by car to reach us. If you need to stay overnight in Madrid, our team can also provide recommendations for accommodation in the surrounding area. Bookings and terms and conditions will depend directly on the chosen establishment.
Choosing a clinic you can trust
The most suitable clinic isn’t always the one closest to you. It’s the one where you understand your diagnosis, can raise all your concerns and feel that decisions are made with your specific case in mind.
At Vida Fertility, we combine medical expertise, laboratory facilities, technology and personalised support so that distance does not become an obstacle. If you live outside Madrid, you can start with an online consultation and receive a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Leave us your details and our team will go through with you how to organise the process, which tests you can have done near home and when you’ll need to travel to Madrid.
