Languages
Dr Albero Amorós sees patients in Spanish, English, and German, allowing her to offer highly personalised care to both national and international patients. Her strong communication skills and empathetic nature foster a sense of trust and comfort.
Fertility Expert
As a specialist in fertility and integrative medicine, Dr Albero Amorós merges the most advanced reproductive technologies with a holistic view of women’s health. She is an expert in in vitro fertilisation (IVF), egg donation, fertility preservation, implantation failure, and ovarian and endometrial rejuvenation. Her approach balances scientific precision with personalised, compassionate care — always focused on achieving the best possible outcome.
Dr Sonia Albero Amorós, how many languages do you speak?
Spanish is my mother tongue and I’m fluent in English, which allows me to stay up to date with the international scientific literature and care for patients from a wide range of backgrounds. I also speak a bit of German and am actively working on becoming more fluent so I can support German-speaking families more confidently.
Why did you choose to specialise in Assisted Reproduction?
“I’ve always felt passionate about supporting couples on their journey to start a family. Assisted Reproduction brings together science, technology, and human connection, which allows me to offer real solutions to those facing fertility challenges.”
How has reproductive medicine evolved since you began your medical career?
“The progress has been remarkable — from more precise diagnostic and treatment techniques to cutting-edge lab technologies. Today, we can offer higher success rates and safer, more personalised treatments.”
What still surprises you most about being a fertility specialist?
“I’m constantly moved by the resilience and hope of my patients. Every story is unique and reminds me that medicine is about more than just technique — it’s about guidance, trust and care.”
Is there a specific area within fertility that interests you the most (immunology, uterine issues, etc.)?
“I’m particularly drawn to holistic care — lifestyle, emotions and hormonal balance all play a key role in maximising success.”
What diagnostic test do you most often recommend to patients?
“It really depends on the case, but I usually suggest a comprehensive fertility assessment that includes hormone analysis, a gynaecological ultrasound, and a full evaluation of the couple — this gives us the foundation to tailor treatment based on reliable data.”
In your opinion, what is the most important factor in improving success rates in fertility treatments?
“A combination of accurate diagnosis, a personalised treatment plan, and emotional support for the patient. Every detail matters — from preparing the body to managing stress.”
What would you say to a woman considering postponing motherhood?
“I understand that each woman’s circumstances are different, but it’s important to recognise that fertility declines with age. The earlier you have an assessment and make a plan, the more options and peace of mind you’ll have.”
What advice would you give to patients just starting fertility treatment?
“I’d encourage them to educate themselves, trust their medical team, and take care of both their physical and emotional wellbeing. Clarity, consistency, and self-care are key allies throughout the journey.”
Have you participated in any research or conferences?
“Yes, I actively participate in clinical research and attend both national and international congresses. This allows me to stay up to date and bring the latest scientific advances to my patients’ care.”
