Pregnant through artificial insemination: Raquel’s testimony
“The best present is yet to come”, says Raquel.
At the crossroads of fertility, every story is unique. Today, we share the testimonial of Raquel, a brave 30-year-old woman who, with love and patience, awaits now the arrival of Elena, after undergoing an artificial insemination, also known as IUI (intrauterine insemination).
Testimonial of an Artificial Insemination (or IUI)
My name is Raquel, and I live in Madrid.
After a few months of trying to get pregnant, I noticed that something was not right. My body was not acting correctly.
We had tried everything we could do by ourselves: basal temperature, ovulation strips, everything you can think of and we could do at home, my partner and I did it. But there was no way for me to get pregnant.
After several appointments with different clinics (more famous and bigger ones), we loved the personal care from Silvia. She was the one who was with me from the first day and told me on the first call, about a possible treatment for a problem that no one had diagnosed (yet).
A true story of an Intrauterine Insemination – IUI
Once we went to the consultation, accompanied by Silvia at whole time, we met Dr. Katharina Spies, Kathi, who for me still remains the best gynecologist I have ever had. Her attention, her way of explaining things, not putting all the problems in a labelled box, or not scaring us, was key in the way we were able to face the entire process.
The worst part was the uncertainty, not knowing if I would ever be able to get pregnant. The best was undoubtedly the support, flexibility, and understanding (the entire team, including Andrea, nurse at Vida Fertility, who was exceptional, and I still apply what she taught me).
Today, I’m 5-months pregnant and I’m expecting this little revolution in our lives. I cannot be more grateful to Vida Fertility.
Thanks to the entire team, we’ll see you very soon again!
This testimonial is more than another fertility story; it’s a reminder that, with the right team and the necessary support, every journey to motherhood can come true.
The best present is yet to come, Merry Christmas!
